Tested Against History

Anyone can claim accuracy. We prove it. Our prediction engine is checked against the publicly-documented horoscopes of historical figures — and we test whether it reproduces the classical analyses that master astrologers like K.N. Rao and B.V. Raman published decades ago. Every check below is a permanent regression test in our codebase.

The validation corpus

Ten historically-documented charts, spanning births from 1869 to 1973. Birth data is sourced from Astrodatabank and published biographies, and each carries a data-quality rating — we are explicit when a birth time is uncertain and limit our claims accordingly.

What the tests prove

Vimshottari dasha reproduces the documented periods.For Indira Gandhi, the engine places her 1966 ascension to Prime Minister in the Jupiter–Sun period and the 1975 turning point in Saturn–Mercury — the exact periods K.N. Rao published in the Journal of Astrology. For Jawaharlal Nehru, it lands the documented Rahu–Mercury period. Across four independently-documented charts, the engine reproduced 7 of 7 published mahadasha claims.

Jaimini Chara dasha reproduces a master's full published table.K.N. Rao published Mahatma Gandhi's complete Chara dasha in the Journal of Astrology — twelve sign-periods from 1869 to 1954. Our engine now reproduces all twelve boundaries exactly, including the Sagittarius period during his 1893 departure for South Africa and the Pisces period at his 1915 return to India.

Ashtakavarga obeys the classical invariants.The Sarva-Ashtakavarga of every chart must total 337 bindus, with fixed per-planet totals (Sun 48, Moon 49, Jupiter 56, and so on). These are chart-independent constants from the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. Our engine hits them on every chart — a self-checking proof the computation is correct, not approximate.

Ayanamsa is honoured, not assumed.The same chart can shift sub-periods depending on which ayanamsa (zodiac zero-point) the astrologer used. We verified that when the engine uses the ayanamsa a given scholar used, it reproduces that scholar's result — matching K.N. Rao under Lahiri and B.V. Raman under his own ayanamsa.

A prediction engine should be falsifiable. Ours is — against the published record of the people who built this science. When the engine and a master disagree, we investigate until we know why.
